About the Team: The person selected for this role will generate engineering drawings, layouts and technical documents to support projects across a range of ZF products used in NA, based on direction and designs from the Engineering teams, e.g. ApplEng. They must also execute PLM part release workflows in close collaboration with Engineering.
What you can look forward to as a Mechanical Draftsman/Designer:
Create or change drawings and models (parts and assemblies) per Engineering team
Create drafts and simple designs per engineering requests
Perform data management and workflow execution in Windchill using PLM system
Support design & documentation changes
Create test fixture designs for test facility (Lafayette & Auburn Hills)
Gather design related information (customer part/assembly requirements, etc)
Follow company design/drafting standards
Perform selected technical calculations (e.g. tolerance calculation, mass, etc)
Your Profile as a Mechanical Draftsman/Designer:
High School diploma required, Associates Degree preferred
0-4+ yrs of related experience required
Knowledge of CAD system Creo 2.0/Creo 4.0
Familiar with Windchill & PLM systems
Experience in automotive industry preferred.
Knowledge of GD&T, ANSI & ASME standards preferred
