Your Day to Day:
Preventive Maintenance
Conduct scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance tasks on hotel equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, lighting, fire systems, and other infrastructure.
Create and follow a comprehensive preventive maintenance schedule to ensure the efficient operation and longevity of equipment.
Monitor the performance of assets and systems, identifying potential issues or failures and taking appropriate corrective action.
Document all maintenance activities and maintain records of equipment condition, repairs, and replacements performed.
Financial
Assist in the development and management of maintenance budgets, ensuring cost-effective practices and adherence to financial goals.
Collaborate with engineering management to prioritize maintenance tasks based on criticality and budget constraints.
Coordinate with external contractors for specialized repairs or services, ensuring fair pricing and quality workmanship.
Identify opportunities for optimizing maintenance processes and reducing operational costs while maintaining a high standard of quality.
Guest Experience
Respond promptly and effectively to guest requests related to maintenance issues, ensuring their comfort and satisfaction.
Collaborate with other hotel departments to address guest concerns and ensure a seamless experience throughout their stay.
Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms and public areas, promptly addressing any maintenance deficiencies.
Provide guidance and support to housekeeping and maintenance staff to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for guests.
Responsible Business
Adhere to all applicable environmental, health, and safety regulations to ensure compliance within the workplace.
Promote environmentally friendly practices, including energy efficiency, waste reduction, and responsible resource management.
Stay informed about industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in preventive maintenance to drive continuous improvement.
What we need from you:
High school diploma or equivalent qualification; technical certifications in relevant trades preferred.
Proven experience in preventive maintenance, preferably in a hospitality or similar setting.
Solid knowledge of building systems and equipment, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire, and general infrastructure.
Proficiency in conducting inspections, diagnosing issues, and performing preventive maintenance tasks.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to efficiently work with guests, colleagues, and external contractors/vendors.
Detail-oriented, organized, and able to work independently or in a team environment.
Understanding of financial principles and budget management.
Familiarity with environmental regulations and sustainable practices in maintenance operations.
