Mechanical Drafter

　　Job Description:

　　We are looking for a Natural Gas Designer to join our ICE team to improve infrastructure in our Columbus office.

　　Typical responsibilities include:

　　• Prepare computer drafted natural gas pipeline designs, as-builts, and mechanical detail drawings

　　• Reproduce historic pipeline drawings in AutoCAD

　　• Generate bill of materials

　　• Ability to work independently

　　• Print working drawings using a plotter

　　• Create estimated time requirements for projects

　　• Attend project-specific meetings to determine CAD schedules

　　• Save project-specific data on a daily and weekly basis

　　• Complete 811 design requests and coordinate responses to obtain 3rd party infrastructure

　　• Verify and organize field visit survey notes

　　• Assist Project Managers as needed

　　• Attend meetings as needed

　　• Maintain excellent client relations

　　• Maintain a safe working environment

　　Additional Skills & Qualifications:

　　• Candidates must have a high school diploma, and zero or more years of drafting experience in the natural gas industry.

　　• Excellent technical writing, organization and communication skills are essential.

　　• Candidates must be self-motivated and able to work well with others.

　　• Knowledge of personal computer hardware and software configurations and familiarity with AutoCAD 3D is required.
