Our client provides civil engineering, land planning, surveying, urban design, and development consulting services to public and private organizations throughout the United States and abroad. They are actively hiring LAND SURVEYORS/INSTRUMENT OPERATORS to join their teams in Reston, VA area! They will be part of a 2-man crew and report to Reston everyday to then go out to the sites in DC/VA.

　　Duties & Responsibilities:

　　The surveyor will update boundary lines and prepare sites for construction so that legal disputes are prevented. The Surveyor will also be responsible for making precise measurements to determine property boundaries and provide data relevant to the shape and contour of the Earth's surface for engineering, mapmaking, and construction projects. Other responsibilities include: following safety regulations, daily instrument care, obtain accurate field locations and correct coding for a 'field to finish' mapping product, construction stake outs, clear and concise field notes and recording daily records.

　　Skills & Qualifications:

　　Must have high school diploma

　　1+ years of experience in land surveying

　　Proven knowledge with the use of Topcon survey equipment and software (GPS/RTK Robotics, Total Stations, Levels, and Data Collectors)

　　Ability to operate scanning equipment is a plus

　　Willing to take a 5 panel drug test and driving check
