Our Mechanical Design for Excellence (DFX) Engineers play a critical role in enabling our product and customer’s success. In this role, you will partner with our globally recognized R&D teams while working directly with Common Engineering and Center of Excellence Teams to develop solutions that power the semiconductor industry. Mechanical Engineers work across technologies such as: Chemical Vapor Deposition, Atomic Layer Deposition, Plasma Reactive Ion Etch, Physical Vapor Deposition, Anneal and Implant.
Responsibilities
Perform engineering design and analysis under general supervision
Apply knowledge of and the ability to incorporate Design for Excellence (DFx) best practices to optimize product cost, quality, and manufacturing cycle time
Analyze complex designs to ensure components and assemblies are manufacturable and producible
Solicit input from suppliers on manufacturability and producibility improvements on designs
Participate in cross-functional teams to develop manufacturability and assembly-related BKMs
Design or modify mechanical engineering layouts/schematics and/or detailed drawings/specifications of moderate scope under general supervision
Perform and document engineering tests under general supervision
Generate related documentation, model and drawing for product release under general supervision
Coordinate the procurement and assembly of mechanical components/equipment and identify sources of critical parts and subsystems to resolve moderately complex technical issues
Troubleshoot a variety of mechanical problems of moderate difficultly under general supervision
Implement concepts of moderate product issues and mechanical solutions of moderate difficulty
May be responsible for the design, development, and implementation of custom mechanical tooling, fixturing, and associated processes to enable the handling, assembly and/or disassembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final assemblies throughout the product life cycle
The Mechanical DFX Engineer role is a broad, career-growth foundation. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Advanced Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotic, or related field
Good academic standing with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or above on a 4.0 scale
Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on building trust
Exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information
Explains difficult or sensitive information and works to build consensus
Able to solve problems creatively and analytically

U.S. Salary Range:
$88,000.00 - $121,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
