JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary Assemble custom and/or standardproduct from blueprints by assembling mechanical parts, componentsand/or products under minimal supervision. Responsibilities Fits andassembles components according to assembly blueprints, manuals,engineering memos, sketches, and knowledge of machine construction toconstruct and rebuild equipment using hand tools and power tools.Installs couplings, plumbing (oil lines), accessories on transmissions(such as pumps), and heaters and coolers. Verifies conformance of partsto stock lists and blueprints using measuring instruments such ascalipers, gauges, and micrometers. Lays out hole locations and drillsand taps holes on parts for assembly. Set up, fit, bolt and dowel inplace large parts such as frames, brackets, etc. Positions parts andcomponents such as motors, gear boxes, drive trains in and on frame ofmachine. Manage assembly time to ensure completion of assigned projectswithin specified time frame. Assemble and inspect machine after testingto prepare for shipment to customer. Communicate internally withcontacts outside the work group to exchange work related information.Perform activities planned by others. Maintain a clean and safeworkplace in accordance with Regal Rexnord policies, 6S procedures, andin line with Regal Rexnord core values. A basic understanding of thetypes of bearings used in industrial applications and how they aresetup. Experience with shaft alignment on rotating elements.Self-starter The ability to move from one project to another with littleinput. Qualifications 5+ years of assembly experience in a high mix lowvolume environment 2+ years of experience with gear box assemblyTransmission assembly experience preferred.
