PURPOSE AND SUMMARY STATEMENT Under the directsupervision of the Energy Operations Manager, performs all fleetmaintenance required. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS Establishes and completestracking of company fleet maintenance schedule Performs maintenance andrepairs according to company operating procedures and standards.Fulfills all required regulatory agency obligations. Analyzesmaintenance problems and determines solutions. Operates diagnosticequipment to analyze and identify needed repairs and problems. Repairsall company fleet based on established shop and analysis and toolsavailable. Determines when outsourced work will be performed and tracksquotes to actual work completed. Ensures all necessary tools areavailable for completing daily work. Maintains a safe and clean workenvironment and adheres to all company safety standards and guidelines.OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS Attends and completes appropriate maintenanceschools and D.O.T. training. Follows GROWMARK\'s Code of Conduct andCorporate Compliance Program, Environmental Health and Safety, OSHA andDOT policies and procedures, as they apply. Performs all other duties asassigned. REQUIREMENTS Normally requires a high school degree or GEDequivalent to demonstrate the ability to read and interpret maintenancemanuals. Prefer heavy duty truck maintenance experience and the abilityto qualify to perform federal annual inspections and become a certifiedair brake technician. Ability to complete the Maintenance ApprenticeProgram training and pass each phase. Technician I: 1. Learn basic shopprocedures to include: safety, proper work order and tire work orderssteps to insure correct parts pricing, labor hours, unit numbers, etc.for the training purposes on GROWMARK units, as well as outside customerrepairs and invoicing. Various safety phases must be completed withinthe first 90 days of employment. 2. Working knowledge of DOT regulationsand requirements as they relate to proper maintenance, testing, andreporting requirements on all MC/ DOT-coded trailers and GROWMARK vantrailers.
