Performs routine maintenance and diagnostic checks toensure vehicles operate under the conditions in which they weredesigned. Must have ability to diagnose mechanical and electricalissues.

　　Perform preventative maintenance on medium duty and heavy equipment andvehicles used by Public Works

　　Perform basic service work, oil changes, brake inspection and tireinspection and replacement if necessary and any repairs deemed necessaryfollowing vehicle inspection.

　　Perform all diagnostic inspections and drivability inspections onvehicles

　　Drivability inspection, including check engine light diagnosis ABSdiagnosis, Air Bag diagnosis and various control module problems.

　　Ability to diagnose electrical issues, brake issues

　　Will be available for on call snow removal duty when assigned

　　Perform special projects as needed in shop

　　Installing new technology in vehicles

　　Mechanical damage in wrecked vehicles

　　Up-fitting Public Works equipment when needed

　　Decommissioning retired vehicles for auction
