Diesel/Heavy Equipment Mechanic - Weekly Pay

Job Description

Operate equipment to diagnose problems, inspect equipment for defects, and assist supervisors and co-workers with a variety of mechanic and related tasks as necessary.

Knowledge of safety precautions and occupational hazards of the work is essential.

Must understand and follow service manuals, order parts, complete part requisition forms, write thorough repair summaries, train other personnel as needed, and perform routine inspections including Preventative Maintenance.

Responsibilities

Perform repairs on various types of heavy equipment.

Operate equipment to diagnose problems and inspect for defects.

Assist supervisors and co-workers with mechanic and related tasks.

Understand and follow safety precautions and occupational hazards.

Follow service manuals for proper procedures.

Order parts and complete part requisition forms.

Write thorough repair summaries.

Train other personnel as needed.

Perform routine inspections and Preventative Maintenance.

Diagnose, service, and repair various systems on heavy equipment, including mechanical and computer electronic controls, air brake systems, transmissions, high voltage generators, propane-powered equipment, and pneumatic systems.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
