This includes a mix of project management, process planning, and machine design. This person will divide their time between both the office and the shop floor; the ratio will vary depending on project requirements. A successful candidate will display independence, adaptability, and a desire for continuous learning and professional development. Responsibilities include the direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of the project while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments and goals of the organization.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include those listed below. Other duties may be assigned. This position is a full-time (minimum 40 hours per week) on-site position.Support manufacturing, innovation, and implementation in several disciplines including CAPEX project management, new machine design, modifying existing equipment, identifying waste, and supporting new product development.Pilot projects through problem definition, planning, design, machine specification, equipment quoting and procurement, installation, start-up, and long-term sustainment of performance improvements.Conduct simultaneous engineering with automation, controls, electrical, mechanical, and process engineers to design and implement innovative solutions for complex manufacturing issues.Manage collaboration with environmental, safety, production, and maintenance staff to proactively identify and address potential concerns; Conduct research and analyze process data from identified improvement areas to determine severity and root cause of issues.Keep management informed of any changes to budgets or schedules throughout the project lifecycle.Coordinate with team members and vendors to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, deadlines, and schedules.Facilitate change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budget.Coordinate the development of user manuals, training materials, and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the clients.Conduct post-project evaluation and identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.Implement and manage changes when necessary to meet project deliverables.Manage the design of machinery, plans and develop projects, tests, modifies and creates solutions to technical problems.Ensure processes are safe, functional and validated to perform at their design capability to deliver high quality products.Support and improve the process for manufacturing by implementing practices that support reliability and maintainability.Responsible for new and existing equipment and facility projects. Reviews assigned projects to define, design, develop and deploy the most workable solution and minimize resource requirements.Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vend
