We are currently looking for upper level Math and/or Science teachers at our learning center in Sherman Oaks, CA. As an Instructor at Sylvan, your primary responsibilities are: Just Teaching. No Lesson Plans. No Preparation. Benefits: Consistent, flexible hours at our learning center. No driving around to student homes or searching for clients to fill your schedule. As a successful teacher you will: Teach using Sylvan based programs from Elementary Math to Pre-Algebra through Calculus Supervise, interact with, and motivate students in a small group, 3:1 setting Reward students for completed assignments -Evaluate and document student progress Communicate student needs to the center director Inspire Students -Develop rapport with students and establish a fun learning environment Maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate enthusiasm for teaching and Sylvan Requirements: A Bachelor's Degree required Advanced knowledge and familiarity with teaching or tutoring in the areas of Calculus, Pre-Calculus, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry and Trigonometry  is required 1 years teaching or tutoring experience preferred Strong communication skills and the ability to multitask Availability in the afternoon/evening - We are open 7 days a week - Monday-Friday. Saturdays and Sundays are morning classes. We are flexible. Compensation: $17-$20/hour
