Position Overview
Navistar is seeking a Materials Planner to join our team at our Manufacturing Facility in San Antonio, TX.
The Materials Planner plans, schedules, and monitors the movement of material through the entire facility. They determine material requirement based on EDI and production schedules and coordinate the efficient movement of materials to deliver on time in our facility, ensuring zero shortages in the production line.
Responsibilities
Manage relationships with external suppliers and internal customers across relevant functional areas within Navistar
Follow the EDI with the supplier to ship on time
Check on ASN and make sure that part numbers and quantities are shipped according to EDI
Create manual ASN when needed, schedule transportation to bring material
Establish a relationship between sister plants and PDC
Develop long term customer growth initiatives and plans
Work with our system LN and WDLS
Create purchase orders to get material on hand, negotiate with supplier to establish plan to ship according to our production
As needed, develop, document, and maintain records regarding part numbers
Coordinate / execute material management in general
Motivate, develop, and provide leadership to the assigned team of Parts
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degreeOR
At least 2 years of shop order planning and purchasing experienceAdditional Requirements
