  Job Overview

  The Clinical Education Specialist job description is in alignment with theAssociation of Nurses in Professional Development (ANPD). ANPD is thepractice and thought leader for nursing professional development and thespecialty practice organization upon which education specialists base theirprofessional activities. ANPD has identified six core standards of practiceon which this job description was heavily influenced: competencymanagement, education, role development, orientation/onboarding,research/EBP/QI, and collaborative partnerships.At our Center for Children's Surgery, we treat the big things, thelittle things and everything in between. Our surgeons are world-renownedpioneers in the treatment of children and adolescents for any level of injuryor illness. Our provides services in a range of locations that were built anddesigned to be the most healing environment for kids.We combine advanced technology, innovative research, the latest minimallyinvasive techniques and expert care to be consistently ranked among the toppediatric hospitals in the country. With the most advanced procedures for theyoungest of patients, our surgery locations are destinations for surgerythat is less invasive, with shorter recovery times and better outcomes. Wedeliver some of the best outcomes in the nation and the world, which weshare with parents to help them make informed decisions about their child'scarAs a Clinical Education Specialist at our beautiful South Campus nestled nearthe foothills in Highlands Ranch, CO, you will support the educationalneeds of team members working in Pre-Op/PACU as well as in the OperatingRoom. You will be an integral part of the team ensuring that essential skillsare kept up-to-date, helping to support onboarding and orientation needs,leading initiatives around role development, and more! The South CampusPerioperative Services team performs approximately 3500 surgeries per yearwithin these specialties ENT, Urology, Ortho, Plastics, and GeneralSurgery.   This position is eligible for relocation assistance, if relocating from 100miles or greater.Department: South Campus Pre/PACU/Post and ORHours per week: 20, eligible for benefitsShift: Part-time salary position. M-F with flexibility

  Qualifications

  Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); Masters of Science inNursing (MSN) or equivalent with post-master's certification in educationExperience: 5 years of clinical pediatric experience. Previous experienceas OR nurse strongly preferredCertification(s): BLS/CPR from the American Heart Association with atleast 6 months left before expiration is required upon hire, American NursesCredentialing Center(ANCC) or Magnet approved certification within one year ofLicensure(s): Current Colorado RN License
