Job Summary:
Material Program Manager (MPM) position available within the Poland Patriot Program in Warsaw, Poland. The candidate must have a strong leadership background and ability to communicate and influence individuals at the Director level. The successful candidate must be fluent in Polish and English and should be a citizen of Poland and/or authorized to work in Poland. This position will be based in Poland for the duration of the program.The successful candidate will work closely with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Integrated Product Team Lead and the broader Supply Chain organization to drive Raytheon requirements for manufacturing and quality capabilities of suppliers, and improvement of supplier hardware for schedule and affordability. You will be accountable to ensure suppliers are supporting Program needs, risks are mitigated, and efficiencies identified. The selected candidate will be working hand by hand with Polish Suppliers during the execution of the projects.
The selected candidate supports creation of the strategy around key suppliers for our program including compressed development procurements, systemic improvements for material flow and accountability, and instilling a “can-do” sense of ownership and alignment between the Supply Chain Team and the Program and Functional Organizations. This role will require the ability to extract critical information from complex development situations in order to find resolutions and path to closure. Executive presence and leadership are key for customer and senior Raytheon briefings.
Responsibilities to Anticipate:
Instilling a culture of strategic thinking, planning, procurement and material management excellence within the program supply chain team
Supporting Integrated Product Team (IPT) and working hand by hand with local suppliers to ensure timely execution of the projects
Act as a key supplier interface.
Proactively identify and mitigate vulnerabilities within the supplier’s performance
Creating a vision around supply chain requirements and process initiatives, driving improvements for material flow and accountability
Supporting Estimate At Complete (EAC), Forecasting, MPR and Supply Chain reporting requirements
Supporting development of material strategies and overseeing the preparation and execution of Material Program Plans (MPPs)
Identifying and mitigating program risks as they pertain to material requirements through integrated root cause/corrective action.
Supporting Integrated Product Team (IPT) and working hand by hand with local suppliers to ensure timely execution of the projects
Driving AOP financial commitments and mitigating risks to sales, cash and profit
Participate in projects (both Supply Chain and Program) to drive material efficiencies and increase material affordability
Organize, support and participate in Raytheon Enterprise Supplier Assessment (RESA) 1-5
Comprehensive Supply Chain support for Gates 0-11 activities; ensure Integrated Product Development Process (IPDP) compliance for the program including tailoring when applicable
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain or in a related field is required with 8+ years progressive experience is required or with an Advanced Degree 6+ years of experience in supply chain or related defense/aerospace experience.
Experience supporting and executing Material Program Plans/Material Strategies for major contracts or sub-contracts
Experience working with FMS and DCS contracts
Experience with Polish supply base and working with PGZ
Fluent in Polish and English (spoken and written)
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Business, Finance, Management, Supply Chain and/or additional professional certifications desired
Supply Chain certification
Experience with government regulations (i.e., FAR/DFAR, TINA, etc.)
Cost Account Manager, material sales and EAC experience
Knowledge and experience in Export/Import Compliance requirements for international business partners and suppliers
Commitment to obtain MPM certification within 1 year of joining the team
Proven success and demonstration of solving material planning/procurement issues and driving successful outcomes
Proven team player in a matrix environment
Strong analytical skills; ability to plan, control and direct activities and resources
A self-starter, capable of achieving organizational and program objectives, and able to interface with all levels of internal management
Able to succeed in the high stress, fast paced environment of development
Excellent time management skills and the ability to assign the appropriate priorities to the many tasks that they will be required to perform
