While the primary responsibility is the maintenance of both shelters, the manager will be on-site to handle any issues that arise on the premises that need attention. Must work independently, exercise good judgment and show initiative. Be able to perform light maintenance and repair work as needed. Keep detailed and accurate records. Effectively and professionally communicate with volunteers, local agencies and occupants. Work under the direction of the Peak of Hope Board of Directors and Executive Director.Education and Experience:A high school diploma or G.E.D. Must have the ability to work with people of diverse cultural and economic backgrounds. Demonstrates dependability and good time management skills. Be certified or willing to be certified in Basic CPR and First Aid.Responsibilities and Duties:• Weekly duties listed below are approximately 12 hours a week.• Performs weekly inspections for designated shelter(s) looking for maintenance repairs, cleanliness, working smoke detectors, check fire extinguishers ensure locks and windows are working, etc. Document all inspections in writing and document corrective action if necessary.• Inspects all units when they become vacant and prepares units for next tenant. This may also involve a thorough cleaning of the unit coordinating with the intake volunteers.• Performs basic duties as needed such as painting, cleaning, yard mowing, snow removal, etc.• Responsible for the safe use and storage of equipment, tools, supplies, etc.• Ensures the outside shelters and common areas inside are clean and well-maintained.• Informs Director of any repairs that require additional assistance.• Keep maintenance log of all repairs done to shelter.• Completes site maintenance as assigned by Director.• Keep within the policies and procedures of the Logan County Emergency Shelter.• Submit to a background check and drug testing deemed necessary by the Board of Directors.• Demonstrate the ability to work with volunteers in a timely and friendly manner.• Inform and lead the occupants in maintaining the physical integrity of the shelter.• Be prepared to perform an intake of occupa
