MATERIAL PLANNER SCHEDULERPINE GROVE, PA (PLANT)
Shift: 1st shift -Monday thru Friday 8a - 5p;Flexible Hours as Required
Job Description:Responsible for planning production based on customer demand, forecasting trends, capacity, and workflow analysis. Develop and implement an executable master manufacturing schedule. This includes framing, dyehouse, face finishing, lamination, and inspection.
Job Duties:Work closely with Customer Service to ensure customer demand is met as it pertains to delivery. Primary Metric - OTD> 93%. Reduce arrears position and improve flow through the manufacturing process.Monitor inventory levels to plan finishing operations accordingly to meet customer demandDevelop and implement an executable master manufacturing schedule.Schedule with department efficiencies and quality top of mind --- which will improve first pass yieldSchedule work for all subsidiary departments to heatset accordingly -- dyehouse, scutch, napping and inspectionDevelop and manage a process to track all carriers within the dyehouse and finishing sidePrioritize preset, batching and pulldown processes and manage flow through dyehouse - prioritize workload to ensure goods are dyed in timely manner to meet customer demandEnter orders into Dye Process manager control systemMonitor machine boiloutsSchedule PM's for dye machinesAct as liaison between manufacturing, customer service and purchasing. Communicate any scheduling changes to associates, supervisors, and customer servicePublish lamination production schedule weekly based on monitoring Demand Planning System (DPS) and flow of raw materials (face, backing and film)Create lamination manufacturing orders per the schedulePublish weekly schedule attainment scorecardsWork with IT to reimplement the auto convert system for manufacturing orders.Daily maintenance of auto face results/PG unfilled report.Retrieve and review reports daily for unscheduled manufacturing orders.Prioritize the releases of manufacturing orders from the auto face results/PG unfilled report which consists of manufacturing orders on hold for multiple reasonsCreate all manufacturing orders not auto convertedTake active role in upcoming launches teams to ensure success from planning standpoint.Develop a voice as a leader within the materials team with focus on communication, transparency, and improvement.Assist in management of physical inventory counts within the greige goods warehouse. Achieve > 99% accuracy.All other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
Associates degree preferred OR equivalent experience, with 5+ years' experience in scheduling.Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a high level of attention to detail.Experience dealing with complexity, informing others, manufacturing quality, production development, presenting technical information and change management.Experience in production and/or strategic planningGood written and verbal communication skills.Must be a self-motivated individual; displays ability to work in highly productive, constantly changing environment.Must be able to exercise leadership, diplomacy, and problem-solvi g skills when coordinating and working with all levels of employees.Must have the ability to successfully complete project commitments.Excellent computer and documentation skills.Physically able to work hands-on in a manufacturing environment - manual dexterity.
