Job Title: 1st Shift Material Handler- Miamisburg, OH- $18/hr

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. This role involves operating a sit-down propane forklift, handling various materials, and ensuring proper storage and classification within our facility. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in diverse weather conditions and have the ability to lift 50-60 lbs.

Responsibilities

Operate a sit-down, propane forklift

Unload skids and drums off of trailers

Move received products to correct locations in the facility based on classification

Read labels and maintain attention to detail

Handle materials according to label and classification

Repackage small aerosol containers into and out of drums and large boxes

Pour out liquid materials into larger storage drums

Dispose of containers into dump trailers

Reload new pallets onto outbound trailers

Relabel containers as necessary

Handle non-hazardous materials such as batteries, aerosol cans, and propane cans

Learn to handle hazardous materials (solid and liquid) and pump them into the storage tank farm

Operate machinery to process and store containers

Essential Skills

Ability to lift 50-60 lbs

Willingness to work in all weather conditions

Must not have facial hair below the lip (due to the type of respirator needed)

GED or Diploma

Experience with forklifts, yard dogs, chemical handling, PPE, and material handling

Additional Skills Qualifications

Forklift experience

Chemical handling

Use of Yard Dogs to move trailers

Experience working in full PPE

Work Environment

The work environment consists of a 30-acre facility with 75% outdoor work and 25% indoor work. Employees will handle hazardous waste and wear full Tyvek suits and respirators at times. While on the contract period, you will only work with non-hazardous materials. The environment can be hot and cold, and full PPE including hard hats, long sleeve uniforms, steel toe boots, and respirators (when necessary) will be required.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $18.00
