The Opportunity
This position works out of our Abbott Vascular manufacturing site, located in Barceloneta, Puerto Rico. This is a regular position in a second shift (12:00pm - 8:30pm).
Abbott Vascular provides innovative, minimally invasive, and cost-effective products for treatment of vascular disease.
What You’ll Do
This position coordinates and executes the movement of materials into the facility, within the facility as needed by production, and out of the facility for external distribution. Handles materials including but not limited to raw materials, WIP, supplies, and finished goods inventory.
Support the operation by keeping the flow of material, gowns, booties, supplies and others according to the manufacturing needs, procedures or special instruction provided. (Weight:30%)
Maintain the inventory accuracy of gowns, booties from the external supplier, by reconciling on a periodic basis. (Weight:10%)
Maintain Inventory transactions accurate according to but not limited of quantities, locations, costs centers. (Weight:10%)
Ensure Cycle Count results of the areas designated according to the metrics established. (Weight:10%)
Maintain the amount of lots and or inventory within the limits established in the inventory locations like (Point of Use), Kanban, Clean Room among others). (Weight:15%)
Release production work orders according to the production plan, quantity and date requested, Kanban Guidelines. (Weight:5%)
Ensure compliance with all SJM procedures and all applicable regulatory agency requirements. (Weight:10%)
Support the receiving incoming materials (components and MRO's) and verifies quantities received against vendor documentation. (Weight:5%)
Other duties as assigned. (Weight:5%)
Required Qualifications
High school diploma with at least (1) year of experience. Warehouse experience in a medical device, pharmaceutical or electronic industry preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of Spanish and English.
Capacities to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Capability to lift 50 pounds.
Basic math skills, basic computer literacy (data entry and inventory software)
Communication skills and hand-eye coordination required, ERP knowledge, SAP preferred.
Unexpired Puerto Rico driver’s license is required since the position requires driving a motor vehicle as usual and integral part of the job.
Prior training in GMP and/or ISO regulations
The base pay for this position is $11.89 – $19.61 per hour. In specific locations, the pay range may vary from the range posted.
