Maintenance and Modernization has an opening for Material Coordinators. The selected candidate(s) will perform warehouse duties in the Shop/Shipyard as required to receive and dispatch materials. Must have good organization skills and maintain material control and segregation. The position requires the candidate(s) to be flexible, as well as adaptable, working in a team environment. Candidates shall be experienced in reading blueprints and math skills necessary to perform this function. Candidate shall be willing to learn new skills and apply them as necessary with appropriate training. Candidates will be cross trained in other functions of the business to include, but not limited to: Hazmat control, Label design and fabrication, Transportation and trade technician helper. Candidates are required to be proficient with computers to access ITS (Inventory tracking System), MRP II (Materials Resource Planning), EWP (Electronic Work Package), and accessing company policies and procedures. This position will require going on board a submarine. The candidate must work in a team environment, be able to work independently when needed to do so, and must be willing to travel. A secret clearance is required as a condition of employment.QualificationsRequired:This is not an entry level position.
