Objective : Material Associate II has met the requirements of a Materials Associate I and has the equivalent of on-year working experience in one of the folllowing primary areas: stockroom, dock, finished goods packaging, returns, or off-site warehouse.
Responsibilities :
Perform applicable system work
Perform domestic / international shipping
Perform receiving functions
Perform FG packaging as required.
Perform cycle counts
Becoming fork lift certified (if applicable)
Sort, fill, assemble and audit orders in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures
Review inventory and shipment discrepancies
Perform put away functions.
Execute the transfer process, maintaining FIFO
Perform the pulling, storing and put away processes
Load and unload transfer truck / deliveries as needed
Maintain an orderly and clean work area and facility
Person must treat others with respect, demonstrate a positive can do approach, and be willing to work in whatever area is assigned.
Update and address daily activity and monitoring reports for accountability.
Assist in the Annual Physical Inventory.
Assist Group Lead in daily functions as instructed.
Assist in maintaining the building security.
Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety. Comply with OSHA and MSDS standards.
Requirements :
Required Education: High School Diploma or Equivalent
Preferred Experience: Previous manufacturing experience, surgical equipment manufacturing experience
Required Skills/Qualifications: Ability to lift 50 lbs., CRT/PC knowledge, ability to work independently, self starter, perform problem solving, good oral and written communication skills, ability to work well with others and exercise good judgement, dependable and reliable, the ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide numbers including decimals and fractions; simple use of formulas, charts, tables, specifications, and schedules.
Preferred Skills/Qualifications: hazmat certification 49 CFR / IATA, industrial equipment operation qualifications, working knowledge of existing computer programs (i.e,. PeopleSoft, LX, WebShip, Documentum, ComplianceWire, Excel, Word)
