Our client is one of the largest independent nonprofit research and development institutes in the world. They apply science and technology to solving what matters most and are looking for a Master Scheduler to join their distinguished team!
Pay: $30-$45/hr
Location: Columbus, OH
Job Type: Contract
Job Overview: The Master Scheduler will collect and analyze data with a high level of independence and regularly exchange information with a variety of internal and external resources.
Key Responsibilities:
Creates and maintains a feasible master schedule and builds plans across multiple programs.
Initiates contact with appropriate internal and external resources to report and resolve problems in advance.
Serves as liaison with management resolving production and performance issues to meet customer and business performance expectations.
Responsible for the allocation of resources and scheduling of large, complex work or groups.
Plans and prepares integrated master schedules and departmental workflows to establish sequence and operations to meet business timeframes and deadlines.
Gathers and analyzes data and information to coordinate schedules of the allocation of resources.
Develops forecasts and interprets demands and assess human, facility, equipment, and/or material resource requirements.
Identifies and evaluates risks and develops alternative recovery schedules to resolve issues.
Communicates schedule conflicts as well as status to management in timely manner.
Works with planner/schedulers to assure that scheduling is completed in a timely manner.
Communicates and collaborates directly with internal and external resources as directed by management.
Coordinates and/or schedules the development and training of employees, depending on department needs.
Education/Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in related field; 5 years of experience with the development and implementation of integrated master scheduling; or an equivalent combination of education and or experience in a related field.
Excellent analytical, problem solving, and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects.
Ability to effectively collaborate and communicate with internal and external resources.
Strong computer skills with proficiency with technical tools and resources.
