Overview
Responsible to assure Attribute Set-up and Maintenance, inventory management in order to maintain Service levels for North America.
Functions
Part set up impacts how inventory flows and proper set up improves order flow.
Inventory management has a direct impact on cash flow. Keeping inventory levels at reliable quantities while reducing excess positively impacts business.
Demand inputs created by the master schedulers feed information to suppliers and impact availability and flow of material
Review open orders and determine actions as needed regarding MPS, POR, late review
Create build and ship plan for the next 3 months based on backlog and demand patterns
Identify and communicate current and potential items in danger of becoming late and get buy in for resolution
Adjust forecast and/or safety stock based on demand trends and service levels
Adjust ABC classifications, and other planning attributes based on spend and usage history
Adjust assembly Bills of Material and Assembly routings as necessary to satisfy special requirements.
Review ATP (Available to Promise) to ensure customer lead times and adjust inventory levels as needed
