The CTO Marketing Manager will be the key contact for many internal stakeholders, as well as a key player for Applied Materials CTO strategy and operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong mix of technical, creative, analytical and communication skills. They will have a broad set of skills and experience to draw from including events, social media landscape and best practices, measurement and analytics, and how to integrate with other marketing functions, including public relations, internal comms, etc. There will also be a variety of creative projects that will be identified as the role evolves.
We’re looking for a creative, outside-the-box, self-starting thinker with a great sense of humor who can thrive within our energetic and dynamic team. Reporting to the CTO’s Chief of Staff, this marketing manager will act as the lead for many events, campaigns, projects and rollouts.
This opportunity will require partnering with our technology program leads on both day-to-day and strategic initiatives including:
Trade shows
Publications
Press releases
Launch campaigns
Media including social media presence
Defining and tracking success metrics
Lead CTO-focused internal and external messaging strategies, including:
All-hands meetings
CTO events
General collateral generation
Develop and maintain robust social media presence
Other communications
Manage CTO-driven company-wide learning and development initiatives
Global and regional ET conferences

Requirements
5+ years marketing / communications experience in a high tech, hardware-focused environment
Track record of executing programs in large organizations, as well as experience in working in a startup-like environment
Basic technical understanding of Applied’s products

U.S. Salary Range:
$144,000.00 - $198,000.00
The salary offered to a selected candidate will be based on multiple factors including location, hire grade, job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and with consideration of internal equity of our current team members. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, candidates may be eligible for other forms of compensation such as participation in a bonus and a stock award program, as applicable.
For all sales roles, the posted salary range is the Target Total Cash (TTC) range for the role, which is the sum of base salary and target bonus amount at 100% goal achievement.
