*The Headlines: *
The manager – marketing innovations oversees and leads high impact innovation projects designed to help achieve the company’s growth ambitions. This position supports the flavor portfolio and develops new product and/or packaging ideas for both new and existing brands. This person will lead innovation efforts from idea to fully realized new products through the stage gate process. Along the way, they'll leverage creativity, strategy, consumer insights, project management and business acumen to build compelling consumer-led innovations supported with robust business cases. This person should help deepen our understanding and inspire new thinking by monitoring global product and packaging trends within and across categories in partnership with insights, and identify actionable takeaways. The manager – marketing innovations will lead development of sell-stories and other tools to build excitement and galvanize the organization behind new innovations. This position also manages 1-2 associates. The ideal candid will have a high sense of accountability, be a great collaborator and have a track record of advancing projects from ambiguity to concrete results.
The Responsibilities: _ _
Develop and build white space opportunities that align with Molsoncoors portfolio strategy
Ensure strategic alignment across cross functional teams
Partner with relevant brand teams and partners to deliver strategic innovation that enhances brand perform in market
Work with sales operations and distributor sales organization to build compelling commercial cases for innovations projects
Attract, lead, manage, and mentor employees in such a way to ensure retention, development, and superior performance of talent
Provide coaching and development of team members on a consistent basis
Provide annual and midyear reviews to each team member
Sell marketing concepts and programming to stakeholders and execute against the strategy
Provide clear direction regarding strategy and execution and ensure team stays on track
Provide clear direction and demonstrate leadership through meeting timelines
Deliver breakthrough packaging on all innovations
Ensure all timelines are met and information is complete
Determine appropriate budget dollars for time needed, people resources, agency resources and disburse those dollars appropriately
*The Other Qualifications: *
You have a bachelor’s degree in Business or equivalent experience (5+ years) in the field of CPG Marketing
Experience in managing the creative process with agency partners and integrating insights.
Experience conducting financial and business analysis and retrieving and analyzing data.
Experience with new product development and stage gate process
Planning, budgeting and organizational skills.
Creativity and innovative thinking.
Strategic insight and analytical rigor.
Comfort in driving innovation and prudent risk taking.
