Position Overview
The Marketing Automation Manager is accountable for increasing operational efficiency using technology to streamline, automate, and measure marketing tasks and workflows. We are seeking a data-driven, organized and passionate individual, who can dive deep to improve process efficiency and solve problems for key stakeholders. A proven track record in taking on end-to-end ownership and successfully delivering results in a dynamic business environment is strongly preferred.
The Marketing Automation Manager maintains and grows relationships with key internal and external colleagues, including business systems, program management, customer support, members of the field organization, agency partners and vendors.
This position is ultimately accountable for marketing technology automation implementation that aims to improve processes and productivity, making recommendations to support an organization scaling at a rapid pace.
Accountabilities
Marketing Automation: Accountable for implementing the marketing automation roadmap to scale practices, launch new features, and suggest investments to support future business growth. Perform technical project management of the marketing automation development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design/development, testing, configuration, and administration in partnership with the Salesforce team.
AI/Chatbot Functionality: Responsible for collecting relevant data from various sources to ensure its accuracy to build machine learning experiences and natural language processing via artificial intelligency (AI)/Chatbot functionalities to enhance decision-making processes.
Marketing Technology: Maintain system data integrity of our marketing automation platform, Pardot (now Account Engagement), in connection with parent organizations and CRM, Salesforce. Utilize marketing automation tools to modify scoring models, collaborate in developing and continuously optimizing lead scoring and management processes, ultimately resulting in advancing customers along their decision journey.
Troubleshooting: Responsible for identifying opportunities for enhancement with the marketing technology stack and offering recommendations and implementing improvements for enhanced functionality.
Campaign Web Management: Responsible for implementation of multi-channel campaigns from business requirement to execution across Pardot (now Account Engagement), WordPress, Gravity, forms, landing pages, email, etc.
Contact/Lead Management: Monitoring the customer decision journey. Develop segmented journeys and logic for each audience type. Responsible for enhancing manual lead process ensuring automation workflows and follow up with customers through automation adhere to standard operating procedures – overall ensuring customers and prospects are supported throughout the decision journey.
Data & Analytics: Ongoing measurement and reporting on the performance and overall effectiveness of marketing technology automation progress, campaign performance, and lead management.
Stakeholder Relationships: Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders (particularly Customer Impact, Programs, Implementations and Business Systems teams) on enhancing and identifying issues with the lead management process and integrations with marketing automation platforms.
Presentation & Communication Skills: Present ideas and final deliverables to internal and external teams and communicate with key stakeholders about marketing automation initiatives.
Required Skills and Competencies
Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, data science, digital media, marketing, business, or related field
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in digital marketing, marketing technology
Experience in marketing automation systems (i.e. Pardot/Marketo) including setting up end-to-end marketing automation data flows required
Certified in Pardot (now Account Engagement)
Proficiency in data extraction
Familiarity in developing chatbot logic and recommendation engines using OpenAI, Retune, Chatbase, and CustomGPT
Interest in building AI-powered automation workflows
Proven experience in Zapier automation, natural language processing and machine learning
Experience with central sales tools (i.e. Salesforce)
Intermediate proficiency with HTML/CSS
Strong project delivery experience with MarTech, lead management, or demand generation operations (i.e. integrating new third-party tools, migrating CRM or marketing automation platforms)
Solid knowledge of Google Analytics and reporting dashboards
Strong decision-making skills
Healthcare field and hospital marketing experience preferred, not mandatory
The estimated annual base salary for this position is $85,000 to $90,000. Please note that this range does not include any other compensation or benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The salary offered depends on a variety of factors, which may include the qualifications of the individual applicant for the position, level of education attained, and/or professional certifications, years of relevant experience, special skills, etc..
