JOB SUMMARY: The Marketing and Technology Specialist is responsible for researching new technologies and new markets with a focus on identifying opportunities and nurturing business among

　　universities and research laboratories through marketing activities that enhance Indium Corporation’s brand and name recognition.

　　ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS (COMPETENCIES):

　　• Work closely with Research and Development (R&D) department, Engineering team, and Product Management teams to identify potential uses for Indium Corporation products by universities and

　　research laboratories

　　• Create and maintain a current list of universities and research labs that use Indium Corporation products and/or have the potential to use Indium Corporation products based on their current and future research interests

　　• Provide both quick and in-depth technology assessments to determine future market potential for emerging technologies

　　• Effectively communicate information regarding emerging technologies to both technical and nontechnical staff

　　• Work closely with the Marketing Communications department to use phone, email, mailings, social media, and marketing automation to develop programs that enhance Indium Corporation’s awareness among universities and research labs and drive demand

　　• Work with product management to provide product samples and promotional materials to universities

　　• Stay current on emerging technologies as they relate to Indium Corporation products

　　• Build and nurture relationships with university department heads, professors, scientists, and students

　　• Arrange introductions, meetings, calls, seminars, and conferences as needed to connect Indium Corporation staff with university and laboratory on projects and business development

　　• Segment customers to identify areas for growth and technology influence

　　• Perform other duties and special projects as assigned

　　REQUIREMENTS:

　　• Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, physical sciences, or related field is required; physical sciences is preferred

　　• Two years of related experience preferred

　　• Outgoing personality with strong communications skills

　　• Strong project management skills

　　• Excellent organizational skills

　　• Must have a strong interest in technology, with the curiosity and ability to learn about emerging markets as they relate to Indium Corporation products

　　• Provide own source of transportation for any local/day travel, including travel between Indium Corporation facilities

　　WAGE DISCLOSURE:

　　The salary range indicated in this posting represents the minimum and maximum of the range for the position. The actual range will vary based upon factors including, but not limited to, prior experience, knowledge, skill and education as they relate to the position’s qualifications, and internal equity.

　　The posted salary range reflects just one component of our total rewards package.

　　$56,000 - $75,000 annually
