Responsibilities
Altec is currently hiring for a Market Manager position! This position is responsible for all aspects of product/service strategy and marketing within assigned area(s) of focus. This position prepares and implements marketing strategies and programs for products and services within the "Assigned Market Arena/Product Category" to facilitate profitable growth. This position is able to work off-site as long as there is easy access to an airport. Working from an Altec facility is preferred.
Responsibilities
Evaluates product performance to help develop and update product roadmaps.As an active Product Development team member, participate in identifying specifications and deliver product results to those specs, including the introduction of new products to the sales team and customers.Builds a deep understanding of the applicable work practices within appropriate market arenas and segments.Perform financial analysis and Return on Investment calculations as it pertains to product development decisions.Develop pricing strategies, balancing firm objectives and customer satisfactionResponsible for customer sub-segment group research including extracting customer data and analyzing profiles to determine market segment requirements.Based on customer profiles, develops targeted product offerings and works with marketing on marketing campaigns.Provides information to sales, manufacturing, and other marketing teams to assist in the promotion of the organization's products and/or services.Participate in sales forecasting processMonitor trends that indicate the need for new products and services and support market research studies and/or analyze their findingsMonitors financial performance of products and/or servicesParticipate in promotional activities or trade shows, working with departments, production, management, etc. to market products or servicesParticipate in evaluation of MandA and partnership opportunities. Advise Business Development Team on opportunity attractiveness based on return on investment, market/product segment relevancy and business synergy alignmentMay lead business financial evaluations for specific product lines or market segments. Utilize PandL information to create and manage business Pro Formas, develop and lead strategies for financial performance improvement where necessaryAll other duties as assignedEducation, Experience, and Skills Required
Bachelor's Degree required; Marketing, Business, or Engineering Degree preferredAdvanced degree highly desirableMinimum three years applicable experience requiredExcellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills requiredMust be able to travelCurrent valid Driver's LicenseMicrosoft Office Suite and other office management applications requiredMechanical aptitude, product or industry knowledge strongly preferredProven ability to work with team members and work with minimal supervision**Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted .
