Description A steel manufacturing company located just north of the Galleria is looking for a Controller due to a retirement. This is a hands-on role that will be in office.

　　Job Duties:

　　• Manage all accounting transactions.

　　• Prepare journal entries and monthly reconciliations.

　　• Preparing budget and forecasts.

　　• Publish financial statements in time.

　　• Handle monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.

　　• Monthly expense analysis.

　　• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements.

　　• Fixed Asset analysis.

　　• Prepares Monthly sales and use tax report.

　　• Interfaces with internal and external auditors.

　　•• Interfaces with tax department of local audit firm

　　• Interfaces with internal sales department personnel

　　Ideal candidate will have:

　　• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance, CPA a huge plus

　　• 3+ years of experience as a Controller

　　• Manufacturing/ Standard Cost experience

　　• Bilingual Spanish a plus

　　Compensation is up to 130K plus bonus.

　　BA/BS in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other business related field

　　Strong communication and interpersonal skills (verbal, written, and listening)

　　Month end closings experience required

　　Standard Cost Accounting experience desired

　　Accounting experience in publicly-traded company a plus

　　Observant, accurate and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment

　　CPA or MBA preferred

　　Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment

　　Skillful in analytical, quantitative and social skills

　　3+ years of progressive accounting experience, including as a Controller preferred

　　Dedication and requisite skills to meet critical business deadlines
