Our Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Managing Engineer for our Civil EngineeringPractice in several of our U.S. offices. Openings are available in each of thefollowing office locations: Alexandria, VA, Atlanta, GA, Denver,CO, Houston, TX, Natick, MA, and New York, NY. In this role youwill work as part of a team responsible for developing and executinggeotechnical engineering projects. This position will provide technicallychallenging work with excellent opportunities to grow within the firm.
You will be responsible for
Conducting analyses of geotechnical and civil engineering systemsEvaluating construction claims related to ground conditions, earthwork,and earth structures (support of excavations, foundations, retainingwalls, etcPreparing conceptual designs for the repair/restoration of geotechnicalsystemsPerforming peer reviews Leading project teams on the execution of projectdeliverables (field investigations, analyses, written and oralpresentations of findings)Developing project work with new and existing clients
You will have the following skills and qualifications
Ph.D. in Civil Engineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from anaccredited university with 5+ years' experience or M.S. in CivilEngineering specializing in Geotechnical Engineering from an accrediteduniversity plus 10 years' experienceStrong analytical and critical thinking skillsDemonstrated success in independently developing and managing clientrelationshipsAttention to detail, dedication to quality and accuracy, desire to work ina fast paced environmentProven track record of effective leadership skillsStrong publication record in peer reviewed journals or conference proceedingsor demonstrated leadership or activity in geotechnical professional societiesPast record of excellent written and verbal communication skillsCurrent licensed professional civil engineer in at least one state withability to become licensed in multiple other statesApplicants are encouraged to submit a CV (Curriculum Vitae) withpublications (feel free to include publications that are in review orpending) [not restricted to 1 page].
