　　Forescout’s R&D Pune team is looking for an experienced Technical Software Engineering Manager who can drive and work hands-on with our supported products.

　　What You Will Do

　　Managing the day-to-day operations of a security application software engineering team.

　　Led a team of software engineers who are involved in designing, developing, and unit testing Forescout eyeSight product features to develop new functionality, improve product capability, and enhance the customer experience.

　　Responsible for the coaching and technical career development of direct reports, including removing impediments to success.

　　Hire and perform performance assessments as required.

　　Collaborate with other technical teams, understand complex technical inner workings, and meet the quality expectations of the R&D organization.

　　Collaborate across multiple time zones with multiple R&D teams.

　　Actively suggest and describe ways to improve the supportability of Forescout products.

　　Attract, recruit, and hire software engineers when appropriate .

　　Hands-on technical capability to build, test, and release software plug-ins if necessary.

　　What You Will Bring To Forescout

　　A start-up spirit and a can-do attitude. Willing to figure things out when necessary.

　　3+ years of Technical Leadership and/or Management experience in software

　　8–12 years of hands-on experience in development, testing, systems engineering, utilizing workflows for orchestration, and third-party integrations.

　　Hands-on experience with at least two of these languages: Java, C/C++, Perl, Python, and JavaScript

　　Hands-on knowledge of software engineering best practices, development tools, code repositories, and build management.

　　Hands-on knowledge of software QA engineering concepts and techniques.

　　Process creation when necessary and evolution of existing processes when appropriate

　　Working knowledge of TCP/IP, HTTP, SSL, SSH, and other networking protocols

　　Deep knowledge of development and experience with Agile, Kanban, and Scrum methodologies

　　Advanced Experience in Atlassian Products, JIRA, and Confluence.

　　Excellent coaching and mentoring skills

　　Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

　　Excellent verbal and written skills.

　　Strong personnel leadership. Know when to pivot when necessary to achieve team goals.

　　Ability to easily learn and apply new technologies.
