Job Description Summary

　　The Manager, Strategic Sourcing is responsible to develop, implement and lead the sourcing strategy and operating plan for our Consumables segment. Scope of the job; $106M spend, 70 suppliers worldwide through a team of 4 sourcing leaders based in USA, Europe & Asia. This role reports solid line to the Director, Strategic Sourcing Monitoring Solutions and is fully integrated into the business leadership team per our Strategic Business Unit principles.

　　Roles and Responsibilities

　　De-risk supplier base proactively from identifying risk to executing the mitigation plan in partnership with the Consumables business team.

　　Identify, assess, and select strategic suppliers for any NPI or Supplier Transfers and get suppliers ready to deliver targeted business requirements (Quality, Fulfillment, Cost and Cash) per program milestones, in partnership with Supplier Management, Product Management, Engineering and Supply Chain teams.

　　Drive product costs down by 6%+ year over year through supplier negotiation and design change ideas, partnering with engineering/manufacturing with a total cost mindset. Support logistics cost out initiatives.

　　Lead suppliers through strategic partnerships, establishing a win-win relationship, negotiate long term supplier agreements and drive supplier performance improvements through the installed base & its product lifecycle, including leading Supplier LTBs & claims with a proactive approach.

　　Support Supplier Quality, ensuring supplier compliance with FDA, EHS, transportation and other regulatory and reputation requirements and support supplier & parts quality initiatives.

　　Partner with the Supplier Delivery Team to achieve 95% on time delivery for suppliers for the Consumables segment.

　　Required Qualifications

　　Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain Management or areas related to Sourcing.

　　Minimum of 68 years experience in Engineering, Sourcing, Operations, or Supply Chain. Of these at least two years leading a team will be ideal.

　　Excellent business/financial acumen, ability to act as business partner through horizontal teaming, with the ability to motivate, influence and drive change in a collaborative and effective way.

　　Ability to drive long-term strategic partnerships with suppliers and demonstrated experience in optimizing supply base performance – Quality, Fulfillment, Cost, Cash and Contract.

　　Ability to lead cross-functional or geographically dispersed teams, clear thinking, setting up clear directions and priorities for the team.

　　Partner with the Supplier Delivery Team to achieve 95% on time delivery for suppliers for the Consumables segment.

　　Desired Characteristics

　　Prior experience leading global teams

　　Experience managing and building commercial relationships with suppliers - managing contracts and negotiations

　　Working experience with development and production of Medical Devices

　　Demonstrated ability to lead programs / projects.

　　Ability to document, plan, market, and execute programs.

　　Established project management skills.

　　Familiarity with Excel, analytical tools, pivot tables and Oracle.
