DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Manager, Strategic Planning and Line Development has responsibility to identify, design and implement key business strategies to grow and expand the designated clinical institutes and related service lines that comprise the institute. The Manager is also responsible for developing relationships and growing partnerships in communities throughout Northeast Ohio, growing regional awareness of services and positioning the institute as the regional leader and partner for patient care.Essential FunctionsSTRATEGIC PLANNING AND OPERATION ANALYSIS* Assume a leading role in strategic planning to enable the clinical institutes to exceed its budgeted volume and revenue growth.* Develop and lead the implementation of business plans for expansion and growth on the main campus, wholly owned regional sites, community hospitals and potential joint venture partnerships.* With an understanding of current market conditions and share, focus on service line and sub-service line development* Develop outcomes measures pertaining to quality, volume, revenue, and marginFacilitate the development of Centers of Excellence in support of service development and business growth;* Monitor and analyze operational metrics to assess efficacy and efficiency of care as well as resource utilization, including oversight for the data repository and reporting of business metrics that guide and improve service line performance* Promotes effective and proactive programs for performance improvement;* Research and identify funding sources and define and implement funding strategies for program development* Collaborate with management in policy formation, program and capital planning, quality improvement and medical outcomes monitoring.* Assists the management team in the development of departmental or divisional planning and marketing efforts, the identification of new business opportunities and the expansion creation of markets.OUTREACH* Responsible for the general management of all community outreach programs and services, including community relations, community education, and related functions as assigned;* Responsible for strategic development of relationships and partnerships to grow volumes and revenues* Plans, develops and implements outreach programs in primary and secondary service areas to support integration of established programs and respective services in order to meet market needs and align with the strategic plans;* Responsible for overseeing grants that support outreach programs and/or efforts (writing, tracking of funds, summary progress reports, etc.);* Represents leadership at service organizations, community and civic events;* Responsible for strategic development of relationships and partnerships with independent physicians and health systems to enhance patient access to the UH system, promote population health initiatives and provide high quality continuum of care;Required For All JobsPerforms other duties as assigned.Complies with all policies and standards.For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation.Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients.
