Specialty Pharmacy Manager
This position is located at TJ Samson Specialty Pharmacy
Pharmacy Hours: Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm
Cardinal Health is looking for a highly motivated pharmacy manager to work in a Cardinal-managed hospital-based outpatient specialty pharmacy to lead and oversee a hospital-based outpatient specialty pharmacy. Duties include oversight and accountability for all administrative, financial, and operational aspects of a specialty pharmacy. In addition, duties may include: dispensing, patient advocacy, accreditation and clinical support, patient consultation, medication therapy management, management of high-risk patients and complex drug therapies.
Responsibilities
Accountable for all aspects of the specialty pharmacy department's daily duties and operational performance, in addition to leading and directing pharmacy staff.Responsible for dispensing and ensuring safe and efficient delivery of medications to all customersMaintains open communication and is available to customers and practitioner sites for consultationProvide professional consultation to both patients and prescribers of partner health facilityEngages in the planning of new pharmacy initiatives and management of existing patient care programsCompletes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technicians' workflow; verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals; verifying order entries, charges, and inspections.Maintain a professional presence throughout the designated facility and hospital.Assure pharmacy services and activities are carried out to meet goals and standards of Cardinal Health, the client/hospital, and specialty accreditation bodies.Other duties as assigned.Qualifications
PharmD: Pharmacy degree from an accredited college of pharmacy, preferredCurrent license to practice Pharmacy in Kentucky or ability to obtain, and maintains all required CE3+ years experience management experience preferred5+ years experience in specialty and retail pharmacy, preferred340B understanding and experience preferredAnticipated salary range: $108,300.00- $162,393.00
