Responsibilities: Primaryresponsibility of the technician is to diagnose medium to heavy truckrepair needs and perform designated repairs on customer owned machinesas directed. Repairs are made on all major manufacturer type engines intrucks and other on-highway vehicles. Perform mechanic skills including,but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and hydraulictroubleshooting and repair. Also includes preventive maintenance andgeneral machine upkeep. Detection of faults through the use ofdiagnostic laptop computers, gauges, and instruments in all machinesystems: electronics, hydraulics, power train, engines and generalmachine performance is expected. Occasional operation of equipment inthe determination of repair need or repair assessment may occur.Disassemble and assemble machine components to manufacturer\'sspecifications though the use of hand tools, pneumatic tools, and anyspecialized tooling provided by Fabick. Read and interpret equipmentmanuals and work orders to perform required maintenance and service.Research repair needs and order parts as needed. Load or unloadequipment or components from customer owned or common carrier vehicles.Comply with OSHA Safety and Health rules. Any and all duties asassigned. Qualifications: High school education or GED equivalentrequired. Technical, vocational, trade school education or equivalent ispreferred.
