About Manager, Sales Engineering (Customer Success) - Denver

  Datadog is seeking a Manager, Sales Engineering (Customer Success) tojoin our high-growth organization and world-class pre-sales team. You willmanage a team of talented Sales Engineers to help qualify and closeopportunities and coach the team on their approach to providing technicalexpertise through sales presentations, product demonstrations, andsupporting technical evaluations (POCs). This is a hands-on managementrole where you will take an active technical role in your region supportingcustomer facing activities and engagements for key accounts. We operateas a hybrid workplace to ensure our Datadogs can create a work-life harmonythat best fits them.What You'll Do:Partner with the Customer Success Team to articulate the overall Datadog valueproposition, vision and strategy to customers.Manage a team of individual contributors, working to expand usage of Datadogin customer accountsManage resource allocation of your team and ensure their maximum productivityand engagement.Assist recruiting efforts to find and hire top talent within your region.Mentor/coach new hires during on-boarding to ensure proper ramping of skillsand capabilitiesEnsure that your team is enabled to support all required Datadog solutionsalong with key technical and soft skillsDevelop a close working relationship with Product Management, Support, andEnablement to ensure continuity between pre and post sales activitiesDeliver performance reviews along with collaborating on and executingindividual development plansWho You Are:Experienced with 1-3+ years in a Sales Engineering team lead or mentorshiprole and 3+ years in a Sales Engineering or other equivalent client facingroleCoachable, with a strong desire to improve and grow as a professional and ademonstrated ability to navigate through changeProven in your ability to grow and develop a teamExperienced in recruiting both individual contributors and front line leadersKnowledgeable in current infrastructure and monitoring solutions andtechnologiesAble to build and execute an evaluation plan with a customer and mentor otherson how to do soSomeone with strong written and oral communication skills. This role requiresan ability to understand and articulate both the business benefits (valueproposition) and technical advantages of our offering while also coachingothers how to do soAble to think strategically and creatively about a wide variety of challengesDatadog values people from all walks of life. Actual compensation is based on factorssuch as the candidate's skills, qualifications, and experience.
