Summary:
The Washington Nationals are seeking a highly motivated, organized and driven individual to join the Nationals Ticket Sales & Service department. The Red Carpet Rewards program is the primary benefits platform for all Nationals Season Plan Holders. This program provides a points marketplace for participants, whereby Season Plan Holders can earn, manage and ultimately redeem points for tickets, parking, items, and experiences. In addition, the Nationals provide dedicated events for all Season Plan Holders throughout the season. These events are another form of benefit for our most valued clients.
Reporting to Sr. Manager, Client Retention & Membership Services, the Manager, Rewards Program is responsible for the strategic planning, execution and management of the Red Carpet Rewards program, as well as all Season Plan Holder events. This is a full-time position.
The Nationals are a military-friendly organization actively recruiting veterans and spouses.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Red Carpet Rewards
Manage and optimize the Red Carpet Rewards program. This includes purchasing, posting and fulfilling all rewards-related items and experiences
Auction Items are typically higher value experiences or autographed items that clients bid points on, ultimately with one winner. This position is responsible for identifying unique auction items and experiences, acquiring (including purchasing when relevant) said auction items, and posting and fulfilling them
Marketplace items are typically smaller items that are posted in greater quantities and can be redeemed for nominal point values. This position is responsible for designing, purchasing, and receiving said marketplace items, and posting and fulfilling them
Tickets and parking can also be redeemed for via the platform’s user interface. This position is responsible for testing, launching, and managing that functionality
Work collaboratively with vendor (currently Fortress) to make sure rewards functionality is developed and rolled out in a timely fashion. This is executed through a desktop site that is dedicated to the rewards platform as well as the MLB Ballpark App
Meet and exceed aggressive goals for program participation and engagement, informed by historical numbers. This position would be responsible for maintaining detailed reporting on participation metrics, as well as redemption data, and integrating said reporting into relevant other systems (CRM, for example)
Season Plan Holder Events
Manage and execute all Nats Plus events, working collaboratively with other impacted departments, including ballpark operations, security, parking, etc.
Provide, construct and execute comprehensive pre-event communication to event participants, including invites, RSVP’s, run of show, etc.
Supervise event staffing and monitor catering operations, ensuring budgets are appropriately allocated, and roles and responsibilities are understood ahead of time
Generate calendar of Nats Plus events for internal resources (dates of events, RSVP deadlines, etc.)
Required Experience:
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Sports Management, Hospitality, or equivalent military experience
3+ years of related experience in hospitality, purchasing, special events or service industry, or combination of years of experience and education preferred
1+ year of experience with event/client budget management preferred
Knowledge of stadium policies and procedures preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities necessary to perform essential functions:
Excellent interpersonal, problem solving and customer service skills
Attention to detail including excellent time management and organizational skills.
Highly proficient in the following software programs: (Word, /Excel/PowerPoint, databases).
Strong communication skills as well as very strong interpersonal skills.
Demonstrate ability to deliver effective results and meet tight deadlines in a fast paced environment.

Physical/Environmental Requirements
Office: Working conditions are normal for an office environment. Work may require occasional weekend and/or evening work.
Game day: Job requires employee to function in a high activity and heavily crowded outdoor professional sports venue. May work at heights. Employee will be exposed to inclement weather of varying degrees. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand for long periods of time, walk long distances, and climb up/down stairs. The employee is required to stoop, kneel, crouch, or sit and must lift and/or move up to 45 pounds.
