For our production plant in Villach, we are looking for an immediate full-time
Manager, Quality Assurance (M/F/T).
In this role, you will be responsible for managing the Quality department in line with the site-specific and Group-specific objectives and ethical values, including the associated authority to issue directives and duty of care, as well as organizational and auditing duties in this area.
Your Role:
The main tasks and responsibilities include:
People Leadership:
Managing the Quality Department in line with the site and group-specific objectives and ethical values, including the associated authority to issue instructions and duty of care as well as organizational and auditing duties in this area.
Creation of all conditions to enable employees to develop according to their potential.
General duty of care to comply with and implement the points below as well as the associated control, supervision, selection, and training obligations, some of which are required by law, with regard to the specialist staff deployed for this purpose.
Quality management:
Implementation and maintenance of all processes and workflows, as well as control of all measures to meet the requirements for the integrated management system (ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018) as well as supplementary Group requirements.
Active monitoring of quality performance using suitable key performance indicators (Quality KPIs).
Ensuring and leading a professional customer complaint management.
Support in all operational areas to continuously improve the company's quality performance.
Regulatory & Compliance (R&C):
Description of the necessary processes and requirements for placing products on the market in accordance with the CE directives.
CE coordinator (as a staff unit) for the organization and control of CE processes of the company in accordance with applicable regulations (EC Machinery Directive, Pressure Equipment Directive), bears responsibility for correct and proper advice and support in the company in this respect.
Joint responsibility of the managers (action or omission) for the legally compliant management and control of the applicable CE processes and directives, including product compliance processes.
Responsibility for the preparation of operating instructions and technical documentation in accordance with the applicable and currently valid CE directives (Pressure Equipment Directive, EC Machinery Directive, ATEX).
Maintaining all necessary product certificates (ATEX, SIL) and country approvals (China...).
Preparation of factory standards to clarify complex customer specifications.
Your Profile:
Completed higher technical college with Matura and/or technical college or university in the field of mechanical engineering or similar.
Certified quality manager; lead auditor desired.
Basic knowledge and continuous training in the area of analysis, reduction and elimination of product and safety risks (risk assessment).
Fluency in the German and English languages.
5-10 years of professional experience in the field of quality
ideally several years of experience in leading large teams
Comprehensive knowledge of the applicable and currently valid CE directives (Pressure Equipment Directive, EC Machinery Directive, ATEX).
Solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
Stress resistance, resilience, and the ability to work under pressure.
Independent, analytical, and solution-oriented way of working.
Initiative, diligence, ability to work in a team and sense of responsibility.

Required information pursuant to section 9 of the Austrian Treatment Act (GleichbehandlungsG): Minimum yearly gross remuneration as per collective agreement from € 76.751,22 p.a. upwards – overpayment depending on qualifications and professional experience.
