Objective :
Responsible for managing and coordinating all sourcing and procurement activities for the St. Louis manufacturing plants including all direct materials and services and many indirect categories.
Responsibilities:
Provide site leadership for all procurement activities, tasks, and initiatives.
Collaborate with site leadership and stakeholders on effectively managing supply base to ensure high level of performance and continuity of supply.
Responsible for delivering established cost savings targets through competitive bidding process and effective negotiation of supply and service agreements.
Manage all supply base costs, set standard costs, and track and project PPV. Ensure complete contract compliance.
Responsible for performing all aspects of procurement activities in support of major initiatives including stakeholder requirement analysis, identification of bidders list, RFP/RFQ development, conducting competitive bid events, supplier selection, negotiation, contracting, risk mitigation, supply continuity, and supplier performance.
Collaborate with internal customers to create thorough business requirements and incorporate in sourcing strategies and resulting agreements.
Persuade internal clients to engage Procurement as a strategic versus tactical partner while communicating Procurement value.
Maintain high level of communication with site leadership.
Stay abreast of market and industry trends in order to benchmark and develop Procurement best practices.
Make sourcing decisions considering total value to the Company including quality, service, technology, risk, compliance, and cost.
Partner with other manufacturing sites to leverage sourcing and to benchmark best practices.
Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree.
Minimum 7 years of experience in sourcing and procurement.
Experience negotiating complex supply agreements and statements of work.
Experience delivering cost reductions through effective sourcing and negotiation.
Procurement supervisory experience.
Experience negotiating and implementing service agreements and contracts.
Experience with supplier performance metrics and key performance indicators.
Experience developing procurement strategies for both direct and indirect categories.
Peferred Qualifications:
MS/MBA/CPM/CPIM a plus.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to effectively influence all levels of management.
Ability to think critically and multitask with sense of urgency.
