About Manager, Owned Channels Decision Science

  Decision Science

  This role will be a critical position within the data strategy, infrastructure and decision science function within the TIAA marketing analytics organization and evolving our paid media data and reporting infrastructure. The individual will interact across XFN marketing and product partners to understand the paid media landscape, scope out and build the proper infrastructure, scale reporting and deliver insights to drive the short and long term marketing strategy. Key skills critical to success in this role are ability to build strong partnerships across the firm, strong analytical skills, executive communication, ability to influence and drive actions based on insights.

  Key Responsibilities and Duties

  Build analytical power-user tools, to explore data and respond to business questions. Partner with data scientists as needed, effectively interpret statistical models for business use cases.

  Regularly interact with business partners to understand business needs, craft problem statements to effectively design appropriate analytics solutions.

  Conceptualizing, developing and continuously optimizing dashboard reporting for operations and executive management to enable data driven decision making.

  Analyzing results for multiple functions and communicating conclusions from complex models to a wide range of audiences.

  Succinctly articulate business problems to an executive audience, build appropriate visuals to tell a compelling story using customer, product insights.

  Partner across the organization to understand key business drivers, develop tools to explore leading indicator, develop scenario-based projections to forecast short and long-term trends.

  Required Qualifications:

  3 or more years of knowledge of SQL and Business Intelligence tools including but not limited to Alteryx, DOMO, or Tableau.Preferred Qualifications:

  Experience in a position which has included extensive marketing analytics and strong quantitative analytical skills

  Experience working in marketing analytics functions across consumer and/or financial services

  Background in analyzing omni-channelexperience-building/tracking and relevant efforts

  Extensive experience with marketing optimization tactics such as media mix modeling and multivariate testing

  Knowledge of SQL and Business Intelligence tools such as Alteryx, DOMO, Tableau, and others

  Experience with the ability to multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail

  Experience with the ability to digest and explain complicated analyses to non-technical teams

  Bachelor’s degree in quantitative field preferably

  Experience working in one or multiple verticals & industries (B2C, B2B, Consumer, etc.)

  Demonstrate experience as a visionary with the drive to build a team

  Python, SAS and other relevant languages preferred

  Base Pay Range: $93,750/yr. - $156,250/yr.

  Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
