  JOB REQUIREMENTS: Overview The Manager of Clinic Patient access ensuresthat pre-service functions are performed efficiently throughoutMercyhealth clinics and other outpatient departments to assurereimbursement for services. This leader is in a high-visibility role,working side by side with Directors and VPs to research and implementtechnological and process changes to accelerate patient access to care.Responsibilities include: Change Management Champion, monitoring qualityand productivity through reporting and employee management, identifyingtrends and operational deficiencies, and managing corrective actionplans as necessary to ensure successful outcomes. The manager developsand manages policies, processes and systems to enhance accuracy,consistency, efficiency, and timeliness of pre-arrival processes,scheduling, registration, insurance and eligibility verification,pre-certification, referrals and patient financial counseling. Themanager must have a desire to understand disagreements, ensure allperspectives are heard and facilitate a plan for resolution. Must beable to delegate the work appropriately, provide clear expectations andfollow up to ensure progress and overcome roadblocks. ResponsibilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities Develops policies and proceduresand revises as needed to put in place and maintain proper workflowwithin the revenue cycle, focusing on system-wide, front-end clinicoperations; Assures compliance with regulatory requirements and thatprocesses are in place to verify the System is meeting thoserequirements to ensure payment; Audits and monitors all clinic PatientAccess processes overall and individual partner performance to assurecompliance with department policies and procedures; Keeps up to date onchanges imposed by Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial Insurances as wellas Federal and Wisconsin and Illinois State laws impacting healthcare;Reviews data and develops reports and other tools to identify areas forimprovement and to set and track benchmarks based on industry standards;Meets or speaks with patients who may have special needs, requests orfinancial concerns to assist with problem resolution; Meets goals andobjectives set by Director related to clinic Patient Access functions,especially related to registration accuracy and point of servicecollections; Works with system-wide clinic and other departmentleadership to educate and promote efficiencies in the Patient Accessprocesses; Sets priorities and problem solves situations appropriatelyand independently; Supervises, hires, trains and evaluates staff andmonitors their production; Conducts employee reviews, presenting anddiscussing pertinent review findings and recommendations with partner.When deficiencies are noted, monitors partner performance to assure...For full info follow application link.
