About the Role:
The Manager of Domestic Income Tax will be part of a hybrid working team and have a range of responsibilities including federal, state, and international income tax compliance and income tax financial statement reporting, leading strategic projects, and implementing key process improvements for the Company. This individual will also work collaboratively to manage the daily operations of the global tax function and promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement. Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation and review of global quarterly and annual tax provision in accordance with USGAAP for a publicly traded company
Facilitate and manage preparation of the total Federal, State and Local income tax compliance workstream (Corporations and Partnerships) using ONESOURCE Income Tax
Work collaboratively with other Tax Department team members to ensure accurate calculation and reporting of US taxation of International Operations, e.g. GILTI, FDII, FTC, etc.
Demonstrate an in-depth knowledge of and experience in the use of ONESOURCE Tax Provision and ONESOURCE Income Tax systems
Manage direct tax controversy process, including reviewing and responding to notices, and liaising with auditors
Coach and develop staff to build a supportive team that encourages constant learning and career development
Monitor international and US legislation to assess implications on the existing structure, as well as to develop viable alternatives where changes in tax laws impact us
Manage compliance efforts for SOX 404 for all tax function controls and documentation
Assist with the analysis of federal, state and local, and international tax planning efforts, including identification of issues, proper structuring, and implementation of effective and efficient tax strategies
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
4+ years of tax work in a public accounting firm and/or multinational publicly listed company
4+ years experience with preparation of income tax provision calculations
Strong working knowledge of ASC740
Advanced in Microsoft Excel, proficient in all other Microsoft office suite of products
Proficient in ONESOURCE Income Tax and ONESOURCE Tax Provision
Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
Excellent communication skills
