Amazon transportation encompasses all of the operations that deliver shipments from our fulfillment centers and third party locations to customers within the U.S.As a Sr. Supply Chain Manager, Delivery Speed, for Outbound Transportation, you will be responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating transportation projects and initiatives, ensuring efficient and effective transportation services for our organization. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams, and overseeing the day-to-day operations of transportation programs. Our team is specifically responsible for forecasting, improving, and educating leadership on "speed of delivery" that our customers experience.Key job responsibilities- Develop and implement transportation programs and initiatives in line with the organization's strategic goals and objectives- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify transportation needs and develop innovative solutions to improve transportation efficiency and effectiveness- Monitor and analyze transportation data, trends, and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and make data-driven recommendations- Articulate business and technical requirements to effect process changes- Stay updated on emerging trends, technologies, and best practices in transportation management, and incorporate them into program strategiesWe are open to hiring candidates to work out of one of the following locations:Bellevue, WA, USA- Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, operations, engineering, analytics or related field- 5+ years of supply chain, forecasting, manufacturing, sourcing/procurement, or vendor management experience- 5+ years of program or project management experience- Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership- Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)- 5+ years of experience analyzing cost/benefit of proposed projects- Master's degreeOur compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
