Purpose & Scope of Position:
This role will provide leadership and strategic guidance to shape and execute medical strategies in alignment with the Solta APAC organization’s strategic goals. This role will be responsible to oversee clinical studies, develop & nurture relationships with internal & external stakeholders, play a key role in guiding innovation pipelines and medical communications based on R&D and commercial strategies.
Job Responsibilities:
Execute on the APAC medical plan that is developed aligned with R&D, Commercial, regulatory strategies
Initiate, supervise the performance and progress of the execution of the Medical strategic plan.
Provide clinical/regulatory expertise to the creation and review of medical device submissions to APAC regulatory authorities.
Develop and implement strategic direction for medical & clinical affairs that reduce business risk and maximize business gains.
Provide leadership to ensure communication and collaboration between cross-functional groups.
Lead, supervise, and participate in the execution of company-sponsored workshops and educational programs in APAC.
Direct and lead any third-party vendors in the execution of work (i.e. creation, editing, and completion of medical or clinical/regulatory documents) for successful submission and approval by global regulatory authorities.
Collaborate with cross functional partners to support the team on medical insights, technology, and Key Opinion Leader (KOL) insights & engagement
Collaborate & support Medical Affairs teams in their regions (EMEA, North America, LATAM) when it’s needed
Engage with cross functional teams on business planning, special projects & lead strategic imperatives to support Medical Science field activities
Orchestrate evidence data generation or clinical studies needs to differentiate SOLTA devices from the competition. Ensure rigorous compliance, efficient execution, and adherence to timelines
Lead the development and execution of comprehensive medical communication and education strategies. Collaborate closely with eternal customers and internal teams to identify presentation and publication targets and support the creation of relevant materials
Support the ongoing studies (pre-registrational & post-marketing) to expedite patients’ enrollment in respect of the regulations & SOPs
Act as the external face of the Solta organization’s medical programs & activities to internal and external stakeholders such as key opinion leaders, medical & scientific advisory boards, investigators, vendors, like Clinical Research Organizations (CROs) & others
Guide APAC regulatory strategies to ensure alignment to strategic goals, regional & local requirements
Provide visionary leadership for pipeline innovation to ensure long term competitive advantage in alignment with the APAC marketplace needs
Lead real word evidence (RWE) data generation needs and/or medical & educational programs
Requirements for Position
Advanced degree, A Master's Degree or higher is a requirement, with an MD, Pharm D or PhD being preferred
7-10 years of experience in clinical or medical affairs within the medical device industry, with aesthetic industry experience being preferred
Proven success in outreach and relationship-building with Key Opinion Leaders
A strong aptitude for devising strategic plans for real world evidence data generation, publications and medical communication
Proficiency in leading medical communication and education strategies
An in-depth understanding of the medical device industry, including comprehensive knowledge of China & other APAC medical device regulations
Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with demonstrated skills in this area
An established publication record showcasing your experience in publishing research findings preferred
An ability to excel in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, business acumen skills and dynamic environment
