Manager, Manufacturing Engineer
Job Description:
Manage and support projects for all aspects of the MicroVention manufacturing engineering team. Anticipate problems proactively and prevent them from becoming an issue; streamline and stabilize the process. Job duties:
Support and lead teams in the transfer of medical device manufacturing between sites, including writing or verifying specifications, maintaining production process, designing fixtures, and validating processes and equipment.
Integrate activities between departments to solve problems associated with sustaining product, which include improvements to existing processes and tooling/ equipment and new technology.
Evaluate manufacturing processes by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of product design, fabrication, assembly, tooling and materials, conferring with equipment vendors, soliciting observations from operations.
Champion the use and implementation of Lean, Six Sigma and 5s methodologies.
Lead and develop direct reports.
Provide input to quarterly Management Review.
Mentor interns, engineers, and technicians.
Develop and manage a high-performance team focused on reaching challenging goals in the stablished date.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
BS degree in related field.
Minimum seven (7) years of related medical industry experience.
Strong communication skills in English and Spanish.
Project management skills.
Desired Qualifications
Reading and preparing technician documentation.
Working knowledge of standard machine shop equipment and processes.
Knowledge of medical and technician development.
Computer skills including Word, Excel, statistical software, Solidworks, etc.
Background in Lean/Six Sigma techniques.
Proven history to manage multiple projects and multiple teams.
