About the Role
Magna is seeking a Manager for IT Purchasing to work in Magna IT’s Vendor Management department. The Manager will be part of a global team that has a presence in North America, Europe, and Asia Pacific. The Manager will be responsible for negotiating and managing various regional and global IT contracts and will represent Magna IT’s Vendor Management team in the region when working with internal customers and global partners. The Manager will support Magna Group and Divisional locations on a global basis.
Your Responsibilities
• Facilitate Vendor Manager procurement lifecycle process.
• In-depth knowledge of sourcing and procurement principles and best practices.
• Proven experience in vendor performance/relationship management.
• Experience with commercial and contracts negotiations.
• Experience with category spend analytics.
• Responsible for running RFx requests.
Who we are looking for
• Experience in negotiating and managing large complex contracts in the various IT categories, including hardware, software, services, and communication.
• Previous experience with software licensing/contracts/framework agreements and volume purchasing (5+ years).
• Excellent Negotiation skills and training
• People Leadership and or Management skills
• Stakeholder Management expertise
• Strong Project Management skills
Your preferred qualifications
• 7 - 10 years of work experience in the field of IT procurement would be preferred.
• A Supply Chain Degree or Certification is an asset.
• German language skills (written & oral) is an asset.
