Position Summary :
With the guidance of the CIO and IT Executive Advisory Committee, the Innovation manager will perform the following functions:
Design the structure and processes for seamless management of IT Operations.
Identify untapped opportunities to leverage innovation to create new markets.
Oversee the operations and clinical request intake process so IT understands the business challenges that exist within the organization.
Solve business and operational challenges through innovation.
Partner with CIO to identify how other health systems are solving problems through innovation.
Identify the consumer needs and drive consumer engagement through innovation.
Manage and oversee the organizational change and communications for the IT Department
Leverage new technologies such as Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning to drive value in care delivery and operational efficiencies.
Ensure best practices are designed into the organization.
Design and implement a model for resource tracking and utilization.
Design and implement to maximize value from vendors.
Lead the innovation delivery of solutions to the organization.
Identify gaps and needs that through observed or empirical data to add value to the organization.
Design and implement a system for tracking key organizational reports and dashboards.
Oversee vendors, contractors and FTEs that are allocated to IT Operations and Innovation.
Lead the refinement and delivery of the IT Strategic Plan.
Oversee special projects focused on change management, optimizations, innovation, and strategic alignment.
Oversee the IT reporting function that shows alignment and performance.
Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education :
Bachelor’s degree in computer science field, business, or related field. Master’s degree in computer science, technology, healthcare, business or related field. May be substituted for equivalent and relevant work experience.Experience :
Five to Seven (5 - 7) years of experience in leading projects
Five to Seven (5 – 7) years of experience in Information Technology
Seven to Nine (7 – 9) years of experience working with a variety of groups aligning solutions to meet business problems
Seven to Nine (7 – 9) years in leading teams and people
Skills/Knowledge :
Must have the ability to lead a team of FTEs, contractors, or consultants to ensure the goals of the organization are met in a timely manner
Must have the ability to understand the strategy, goals, and requirements that must be met to align solutions to meet the need of the organization.
Must have the ability to think out of the box to drive unique solutions.
Must be able to build strong partnerships throughout the organization and technology community.
Must be able to drive organizational change and understand how change should take place from an organization and technology perspective.
Must have a clear understanding of IT best practices such as ITIL, COBIT, Project Management, and Security
Must have the ability to align innovative solutions to meet emerging business needs and identify solutions that are end of life since due to organization maturity

Must be able to identify problems within scope of responsibility and implement corrective action.
Requires high level of analytical ability working with solution architects, vendors, and operational leaders
Requires strong interpersonal skills and communication skills to provide superb communications with other team members.
Must maintain a high level of confidentiality, standard of ethics and integrity.
