　　We are looking for a skilled Prior Authorization Specialist with atleast 1 year of experience. This person will obtain necessary insurance authorization from all carriers. This will included authorization for, office injections, behavioral health, and verifies insurance eligibility for established patients.

　　salary: $35,000 - $40,000 per year

　　Responsibilities

　　Obtains all necessary insurance authorizations from all carriers. Documents success or failure to received proper authorization in practice management system.

　　Verifies insurance coverage/eligibility for existing patients presenting new insurance coverage or information. Documents coverage/eligibility information regarding services in practice management system.

　　Obtains necessary authorization for services including authorization for, office injections, behavioral health, and radiology (X-Rays / MRI's/ CT's), from those carriers requiring authorization to be performed by the ordering physician. Documents success or failure to receive authorization in practice management system.

　　Informs patient of any problems in obtaining authorization, making 3 attempts to contact patient and documenting success or failure to reach patient in the practice management system.

　　Communicates workers' compensation denials to Pre-Certification Manager for follow-up, in a timely manner.

　　Perform appeals for all denied office injections, behavioral health, and radiology (X-Rays / MRI's/ CT's).

　　Remains informed of the Center's pre-certification/authorization/referral/eligibility practices and procedures as well as the practices and procedures of the insurance companies and liability carriers and is able and willing to answer any related questions regarding these practices and procedures to patients, co-workers or member of the Center's administrative team.
