Position Overview
This position will be the liaison between the Information Technology department and key business units to understand both business operational and developmental needs. The position understands and contributes to the business unit strategy and translates business strategy in an aligned IT strategy and portfolio of programs, projects and applications. Champion change and innovation, while ensuring a strong ROI. Provide oversight and prioritization of IT projects in an effort to ensure IT projects align with the technology that will best provide return on investment aligning both IT and business strategies. This position will report to the Vice President, Innovation and Digital Solutions.
Key Job Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning
• Direct, plan and deploy feedback mechanisms for customers.
• Build, maintain, and track product roadmaps to forecast future changes to IT systems and capabilities.
• Partner with line of business leaders to facilitate IT project initiation, requirements shaping, prioritization, ROI, solution selection, scheduling, execution oversight, and communication.
• Proactively identifies areas of opportunity to apply IT for new business opportunities, process improvement, and cost efficiencies.
• Create and manage an advisory board for our applications that includes relevant representation from the various business units.
• Assess data and make recommendations for support, systems and process improvements.
• Be an agent for change and implement changes as necessary.
• Evaluate documented resolutions and analyze trends for ways to prevent repeated future problems/issues.
• Communicate regularly with internal stakeholders regarding the status of current issues, in-flight projects, and future requirements related to IT projects.
Analysis and Documentation
• Collaborate with internal customer across key business units, to identify and maximize opportunities to improve product, service and business processes.
• Conduct interviews to gather user requirements via workshops, questionnaires, surveys, site visits, workflow storyboards, use cases, scenarios, and other methods.
• Work with stakeholders and project team to prioritize collected requirements, enhancements and issues.
• Review, analyze, and create detailed documentation of user needs and business systems, including workflow, program functions, and steps required to develop or modify business processes.
• Assist in the development process for all approved versions of business and functional specifications.
• Apply deep understanding of business partnering practices and procedures in leading the definition and execution of effective IT demand. Develops a deep understanding of business processes, pain points, needs, ROI, etc.
Business Process Development
• Maintain a detailed knowledge of key business processes and systems utilized by all business units.
• Assist the business in developing processes and solutions appropriate and adequate to satisfy both tactical and strategic business needs.
• Develop and manage client relationships both at a senior management and field level, within the business unit to ensure client satisfaction and the development of efficient business systems.
• Facilitate a partnership with IT to proactively investigate new tools and services that meet the needs of the business. This process also includes how the functional areas should work with IT to identify how to best utilize key applications.
• Design or re-engineer recognized “best practices” business systems that properly and efficiently utilize the application portfolio and information technology resources that provide a common business practice.
• Delivers strategic value by providing significant visible support to business units.
Project Management
• Lead key projects by serving as the Project Manager from time to time.
• Develop and maintain project organizational elements (team structure, steering committee, governing principals, etc.)
• Create project plan and deliverable definition.
• Track, manage and report project execution (e.g., budget, change control, issue and risk management, stakeholder management, status, etc.).
Job Qualifications
• BA/BS degree in computer science, engineering, business administration or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience supporting various business units
• Excellent presentation and communication skills
• Good project management skills
• Subject matter expertise relevant to assigned business area
• Ability to communicate complex problems in a non-technical and simplified manner
• Ability to effectively communicate business needs to the technology teams
• Attention to detail and excellent analytical skills

Work Environment
Office
Work is performed primarily in an office environment. Working times may include irregular hours and on-call status including days, evenings, weekends and holidays. Team members must adhere to appearance guidelines as defined by PSAV based in an office environment and when traveling, on an individual venue or a representation of venues in that city or area.
