Job Summary
Provides direct clinical and assessment services. Supervises and oversees the Addiction Recovery Inpatient and Outpatient Programs and staff. Under the direction of AVP/BHS, coordinates functions of the addiction recovery programs to include staff scheduling, develops and maintains standards for program performance, documentation requirements, participates in long-range planning, and program performance measurement mechanisms and monitoring, and accreditation standards compliance. Works with mental health Outpatient staff to ensure client and company needs are met. Under the direction of the Assistant Vice President of Behavioral Health Services may assist with various projects such as Service Excellence Initiatives, Satisfaction Surveys, and Performance Improvement Projects.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, developing, training, and retaining employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Provides direct clinical supervision to program staff related to clinical services, professional licensure and program accreditation.
Education and/or Experience
Master’s degree required.
Four to ten years related experience and/or training is preferred.
Certification, Licensure and/or Registrations
South Dakota Professional License (Social Work, Counseling or Psychology) required;
Certified as a South Dakota Certified Addiction Counselor or Licensed Addiction Counselor is required.
This position requires a valid driver’s license and that the employee is insurable by the Avera Health automobile liability insurance carrier.
Work Schedule
Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm; 80hrs/2wks
