Develops and manages comprehensive internal export and import controls to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies in the conduct of international marketing, sales, supply chain and other business activities. Establishes business processes for submitting to and obtaining from the US government all necessary export and import licenses, permits, certifications and technology release determinations. Maintains applicable trade compliance records in accordance with regulatory requirements. Includes (non-engineering) technical experts who support law department in investigating and resolving compliance problems, questions or complaints. Establishes and maintains training and audit/assessment programs to ensure implementation and effectiveness of internal controls.
The role involves the day-to-day management and the coordination of global trade policies, procedures and initiatives for the business
Responsible for all aspects of Global Trade compliance at the business
Ensuring that GT policy and procedure implementation is rolled out in accordance with Central GT deliverables and priorities including use of the RISC tool
Oversight of the customs and authorization programs of the business
Screening, sanctions and due diligence management and approvals
Supporting technology management and technical data controls including Texport, xClass and CAP use
License and authorizations oversight including their use, record keeping and general administration
GT communication and GT site council commitments
Visitor management and support of facility access controls with security team
Reporting GT escapes and supporting investigations, disclosures and corrective action management
